Superintendent job: Superintendent needed for $75M ground-up prison project in South Carolina

Are you an experienced Superintendent with a passion for ground-up institutional projects and based in South Carolina? Hays is seeking a dedicated Superintendent to lead our clients' exciting $75M ground-up project in Lancaster, SC.

Your new role

As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for the ground up structural phase, right through to project completion.

  • Project Oversight: Ensure construction activities align with the project timeline and design specifications. Monitor progress to meet established deadlines.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring they fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and report project status to stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Address any construction process issues or delays promptly.
  • Risk Management: Implement strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other specialists. Track project costs and maintain construction budgets.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ground up construction expertise (5 years+).
  • CM at Risk experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Live within driving distance of Lancaster, SC.
