Software Support Engineer – Remote – Atlanta, GA – $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Our client is seeking a Software Support Engineer for a remote opportunity.

Role Description

Tech Stack:
• AWS: S3 for storage, RDS for database, EC2 for Windows Servers, AWS Transfer Family for VPN connections, CloudFront for connecting web-based, AWSConnect for managing oncall schedule
Scope:
• Ideally a mix of experience in Finance and IT (prefer lower IT skills and with Finance experience over someone low on the financial side and strong IT).
• Financial skill: specific to ACH files, Wire files, ICL files, and transactions, and how they flow from bank to bank/or to the Fed etc (“My wire transfer is stuck” or “My ACH/ICL/Wire Template won’t approve”).
• Professional communication to Bank Customers and Bank Clients.
• 50% managing bank customer support or install errors of Paylogics.
• 50% Ticket-based support (TeamSupport ticketing system) of Windows Server looking at Windows Application Logs troubleshooting bank client errors. The rest of the time you take those errors and check AWS or S3 or EC2 or RDS or reset password in AWS or SQL Server), Supporting AWS issues for the application.
• Tier 1: first contact with customer through phone or ticket. Try to resolve on first contact with customer (Bryanna and Scott are Tier 2).
• Triage for Technical or Functional (customer question, analyst type issues, process issues).
• They don’t have an infrastructure team so they do client support, then they stand up Windows Servers for dev team, (their environment is hosted in AWS), restore, install app, database, get their application running on.
• The Paylogic app (file processing app from Bank to Bank for cash, checks, wires, etc) runs on Windows Server 2019 DataCenter Version.

Top 3-5 Requirements (will teach some tech skills!):

• AWS Cloud knowledge: (know Cloud works, know where to look for errors and check AWS or S3 or EC2 or RDS or reset password in AWS).
• Windows Systems Admin: (AD access, Certificate management, ping/RDP boxes, build windows boxes, stand up new boxes, with templates through AWS, NOT installing) built systems or configured a system GP, FTP, Enterprise Manager, windows security.
• SQL: (queries, reporting, tweak reports, SQL Statements, Automation, run SQL jobs to generate reports, inner vs outer join, complex SQL, XML).
• Professional communication to Bank Customers and Bank Clients.

Skills & Requirements

Top 3-5 Plus Skills:
• HUGE PLUS: Financial/Payments experience at Bank/Credit Union), ACH or wire transfer or x937 Cash Letter File experience (will train to resolve issues like: “My wire transfer is stuck” or, “My ACH/ICL/Wire Template won’t approve, etc”).
• CS or IT or Math degree.
• DevOps Azure: to check out, install.
• Web Skills/HTML/CSS: updates to web page (font or color or bulletin board changes).
