Your new role
- Design and develop mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with mission-critical requirements.
- Utilize AutoCAD and potentially Revit for effective design and documentation.
- Apply diversified knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to a variety of assignments in related fields.
- Make informed and independent decisions regarding engineering methods and techniques.
- Consult with supervisors on critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters, seeking guidance as needed.
- Develop test procedures and provide support during the commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Provide engineering solutions that incorporate life cycle cost analysis and energy efficiency considerations.
- Evaluate existing facilities and systems relative to the as-built conditions which affect the design.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in designing mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In-Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and other Mission Critical equipment.
- Ability to integrate reliability and efficiency into mechanical system designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles to diverse assignments.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences both orally and in writing.
- Experience with advanced techniques and the ability to modify and extend theories, precepts, and practices in the field.
- Capability to develop test procedures and support the commissioning of mechanical systems.
