Our client is seeking a Security Operations Analyst in Seattle, WA.

Role Description
As a Junior Security Analyst, you will support the SOC in triaging and analyzing security alerts from a variety of tools and platforms. This entry-level role requires a solid understanding of security fundamentals, technical proficiency, and the ability to implement established procedures to respond to incidents. You will work with guidance from more senior team members and will have the opportunity to mentor and train new peers. The role involves handling day-to-day tasks independently and contributing to ongoing team objectives. This position includes 12-hour shifts on an alternate schedule with on-call duties every third week.

• Entry-level experience or internship in IT or information security.
• A basic understanding of security principles and technologies, such as SIEM, EDR, and incident response protocols.
• Some experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar security platforms.
• Ability to independently handle routine security events using established procedures.
• A proactive and collaborative attitude, with a focus on learning and development.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks under deadlines.
• A willingness to assist with training junior analysts and share knowledge within the team.
• A focus on implementing procedures and solving problems within established standards.

Skills & Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in information security, with hands-on work or academic experience.
• Familiarity with security tools like SIEM (e.g., Splunk) and EDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike).
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix, MacOS) and network security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Exposure to cloud security tools and technologies.
• Experience in applying security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
• At least one industry certification, such as Security+, Network+, or similar, or willingness to pursue certifications
