Renewables Lead Electrical Engineer Hybrid

Mission/Role:
As a Senior/Lead Engineer, you will be a key player in the successful execution of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. Your role involves overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale solar power plants. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.
Project Planning and Design:
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Collaborate with electrical and civil engineers to develop detailed project designs.
- Prepare technical drawings, including electrical schematics and site layouts.
System Optimization:
- Perform computer simulations and analysis to optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Evaluate and select appropriate PV components (panels, inverters, etc.).
Construction Oversight:
- Supervise construction activities, including equipment installation and wiring.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar engineering, specifically utility-scale PV projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software for design and documentation.
- Knowledge of photovoltaic system components, including panels, inverters, and mounting structures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with electrical drawings, plan sets, and PV system design.
- Experience with PVsyst modeling and advanced MS Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Understanding of electrical grid integration and utility interconnection requirements.
