A special contractor specializing in highway construction and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join our growing team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will play a crucial role in coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, particularly in the areas of traffic control devices, signalization, lighting, roadway signing, guardrail, cable rail, and ITS/ATMS installations.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in highway construction project management, including traffic control devices, signalization, lighting, guardrail, cable rail, or ITS/ATMS installations.
  • In-depth knowledge of FDOT regulations, specifications, and prequalification requirements.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software, such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed.
  • FDOT certifications or related industry certifications are a plus.
