Business Systems Analyst – Permanent – Waco, Tx and Arana, Tx – $105,000 - $115,000.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst in Waco, Tx and Arana, Tx.

Role Description

These roles require a unique blend of IT and OT (Operational Technology) expertise, with a focus on Park View data historian systems. The ideal candidates will have experience in both data historian and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Data Management: Pull and analyze historical data to forecast future production needs and visualize data for leadership presentations.
• System Integration: Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and access control systems to ensure seamless data integration.
• IT and OT Coordination: Understand and bridge the gap between IT and OT, ensuring efficient data flow and system functionality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the analytics team and other departments to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Application Engineering: Design, develop, and support mill systems applications.
• Project Leadership: Lead and manage projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and portfolio initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Analyze data to assist in continuous improvement efforts and make recommendations for new metrics and analytical techniques.
• System Availability: Ensure the availability of client/server applications, configure new implementations, and develop processes and procedures for ongoing management.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with third-party vendors to implement or enhance applications and software upgrades.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for standardization of processes and systems.
• Compliance: Adhere to change control, security policies, and audit requirements.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:
• Experience:
o 5+ years of experience with manufacturing systems and technologies (e.g., ERP, Roll Tracking, Costing, Inventory).
o Strong working knowledge of PARCView or Historian Applications (minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment).
o Proficient with relational databases, stored procedures, report development, and automation (SQL, Oracle).
o Experience with scripting/application development (VB.NET).
o Knowledge of interfaces to SAP, shop floor devices, and other supported systems.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong analytical and system design skills.
o Understanding of data models and design development.
o Familiarity with the software development life-cycle.
• Project Leadership:
o Proven project leadership and management skills.
o Ability to translate requirements into specifications for data and visualization tools.
• Communication:
o Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
o Ability to present data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent work experience considered).
o Manufacturing experience preferred.
