Our client is seeking a Network Architect IV in Denver, CO.

Role Description
The candidate must have a working knowledge in system engineering, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes). This role demands deep experience in end-to-end system level architecture and engineering with emphasis on data ingestions, processing, and transport. The candidate must have experience in developing AI/ML models and applying them to data sets in order to create decision criteria to identify network issues and improve customer QoE.
The individual will also help to manage vendors with products and service deliverables based on Charter business requirements and internal customer requests. The candidate must show track record of leadership and innovation via previously published technical papers and granted patents. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate in writing as well as verbally, properly represent Charter in Cablelabs and SCTE standards bodies, and write technical papers for conferences in the cable industry.

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Researches, designs, implements proof-of-concepts, monitors and enhances systems.
• Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
• Tests and reviews system designs.
• Provides Engineering Technical support and guidance to partner teams and ensure all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation are met. Mentors and guides the work of technical staff.
• Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
• Design and implement high-performance, scalable architectures for network systems, ensuring low-latency data processing and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate on full-stack software development, emphasizing APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Develop end-to-end data pipelines, integrating structured and unstructured data sources across distributed systems.
• Leverage machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to analyze large-scale network telemetry for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and QoE optimization.
• Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and transport across real-time streaming platforms (e.g., Apache • Kafka, Pulsar, Flink) and batch processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Dask).
• Manage and integrate database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) for efficient storage and retrieval, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and Redis, as well as columnar databases (ClickHouse, BigQuery, Apache Parquet) for analytical workloads.
• Define and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, ensuring high availability and efficient communication between network management platforms and AI-driven automation layers.
• Drive vendor management for products and services based on Charter’s business requirements, ensuring compliance with performance benchmarks and SLAs.
• Represent Charter in CableLabs, SCTE, and other industry standards bodies, advocating for next-generation network innovations.

Skills & Requirements

• Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or related work experience
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal clients.
• Strong writing skills to effectively write architecture requirements documents and design documents.
• System architecture and testing knowledge of various access technologies including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi.
• Background in networking principles and protocol stacks.
• Develop architecture requirements for HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi Networks.
• Develop architecture requirements for the support of data offload of wireless traffic onto the DOCSIS network.
• Develop access network strategies and roadmaps.
• Maintain a good understanding of the industry and how it may impact the company.
• Participate as needed in relevant industry standards organizations regarding access technologies.
• Promote and champion Company’s vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork.
• Manage resource allocation and workload; use the SAFe Agile principals to manage work; work closely with the Technology leadership team, internal stakeholders and other cross functional team to prioritize work. Communicate and ensure delivery of committed work.
• Represent Charter business interests in a wide variety of settings and relationships including company management, business partners, and equipment vendors.
• Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly
• System Engineering & Architecture: Expertise in cloud-native architectures, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm), and edge computing.
• Cloud Platforms & Technologies: Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid cloud networking.
