This small/mid-sized residential General Contractor is looking for a Director to join the team in Manhattan!

Your new company

This small/mid-sized general contracting company is based in Manhattan, focuses on residential interior renovation projects, and is looking for a Director of Construction & Operations! This firm has been in business for 25 years and has completed work on some very high-profile residences across NYC. Projects range from a couple million to $15M (one of their current projects!), and they are planning on growing the business as much as they can in the coming years. They have an opportunity to restructure and get the right people in place, so they are starting their search for an operations management professional.


Your new role

As the Director of Construction & Operations, you will work collaboratively with the other parts of the business (Finance, HR, and Sales/Marketing), will oversee the company's project portfolio, and will manage the day-to-day operations of the business. The company has about 50 people, including some labor, so definitely a sizable team to oversee!


What you'll need to succeed

  • 10+ years' experience (at least 5 yrs in construction AND 5 yrs in operations management)

  • Local Manhattan or NYC project management experience

  • Proven experience managing a department in NYC

  • Proven High-end Residential project experience

  • A construction-related degree is preferred (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, etc.)
