HAYS Recruitment is currently partnered with an energy MEP commissioning and project management firm. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer who can lead the execution of projects and provide expert consultation. Your new role

• Plans, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of projects independently with other engineering disciplines
• Perform functional performance testing of equipment and systems
• Review equipment submittals and controls sequences of operation
• Support energy audits and detailed feasibility studies
• Develop and maintain commissioning documentation including issues log, systems manual and commissioning report
• Ensure building systems operate optimally for energy efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
• 1-3 years of engineering experience relating to commissioning
• Experience performing commissioning design drawing and specification reviews
• Experience with functional performance testing on electrical or mechanical systems
• Experience troubleshooting facility issues and implementing corrective actions
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
