Our client is seeking a Business Analyst for a remote opportunity.
Role Description
Mitigates losses through accuracy and adherence with MI policies and procedures, internal controls and regulatory guidelines. Responsible for reviewing and decisioning workout files and providing Mortgage Insurer decision to Mortgage Servicers. Manages all aspects of customer service to include: Responding promptly to customer inquiries through various channels. Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle customer requests both internal and external and troubleshoot customer problems of varying degrees and complexity. Must have strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Conduct loan level reviews to ensure Mortgage Servicer compliance with servicing requirements.
• Handle multiple loan workout products on mortgage-insured loans as governed by departmental, legal and investor guidelines.
• Minimizes company loss from foreclosure using both retention and liquidation loss mitigation options
• Accurately underwrites the borrower financial information to determine eligibility under applicable guidelines.
• Addresses any Mortgage Servicer questions or issues. Handles escalated files appropriately by providing an articulate and complete response
• Develops a good understanding of the loss mitigation departments’ policies and procedures
• Develops a good understanding and working knowledge of various computer-based programs and common business software
• Provide department phone coverage and escalates calls to the appropriate team members as may be applicable
• Executes recovery processes. Reviews and prepares all accounts and prepares monthly report.
• Maintain relationships with and provide appropriate recovery documents to third party collection vendors per Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Administration of custom cost reduction processes.
• Conduct Servicer performance touch points and follow up
• Performs other duties, and projects as assigned
Skills & Requirements
• • Minimum of one year of Loss Mitigation experience with an established mortgage insurer or mortgage banking organization. We will consider other relevant or similar experience.
• High school diploma (required)
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong analytic and analysis skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Organization and attention to detail
• Familiarity with lending-related terminology and processes, especially related to mortgage delinquency.
• The ability to safeguard confidential customer and company information.
• The ability to follow instructions but work with minimal direct supervision.
