Position Overview: Seeking a dynamic and experienced BIM Manager to lead and manage the implementation and coordination of BIM processes across a variety of projects. As the BIM Manager, you will play a crucial role in streamlining project workflows, improving design coordination, and enhancing overall project delivery through the effective use of BIM technologies. This position is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of BIM software, industry best practices, and a strong ability to lead and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of BIM strategies, standards, and procedures for projects across the firm.
- Oversee the creation, management, and coordination of 3D BIM models, ensuring consistency and adherence to project goals and client requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of BIM throughout the design and construction phases.
- Manage the coordination and clash detection processes within the BIM environment to resolve design conflicts before construction.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams in the use of BIM software
- Implement and maintain BIM execution plans (BEP) to ensure the efficient management of project data and information.
- Develop and deliver BIM training programs and workshops for staff to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development across the team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for BIM-related issues and ensure seamless communication between internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through the use of BIM.
- Stay current with the latest BIM technologies, trends, and standards, and ensure the firm remains at the forefront of BIM innovation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a BIM management or coordination role, with a proven track record of successful BIM implementation in large-scale projects.
- Advanced proficiency in BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard tools.
- Experience with clash detection, 3D modeling, and model coordination.
- Familiarity with project management software and cloud-based collaboration tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in BIM-related technologies or processes (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, Revit Certified Professional) is a plus.
