Our client is seeking a AWP Technical Specialist for a remote opportunity.

Role Description
This position will be serving as a Technical Specialist/Expert SME for AASHTOWare Project's Preconstruction, Civil Rights and Labor, and Data Analytics modules and responsible for defining User Stories NCDOT software implementation and enhancement request.

• Individuals should have strong general knowledge of application development and architecture principals, and knowledge of AWP modules/products.

• They are responsible for ensuring team comprehension of technical and functional concepts to support working with the development team and Preconstruction Product Manager.

• Work will include documenting NCDOT User Stories specific to NCDOT Bidding and Letting business processes using AWP software, but may also work on User Stories with other AWP Modules as needed.

• This position will perform this work by developing Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Scripts, UX modifications using XML, reporting using SQL, in an Agile/DevOps software development team.

• This position will be responsible for software quality for new enhancements as assigned, ensuring the highest possible quality outputs and reducing technical debt through adherence to AWP implementation Best • Practices and Standards provided by AASHTO and its vendor.

• This person will provide support for Pilot projects in development, and designing integrations with other legacy NCDOT applications and systems (SAP/SharePoint, etc.)

• This position will be responsible for meeting with NCDOT stakeholders to gather intelligence, and demonstrate system capabilities.

• This position is responsible for working with other analysts and developers to break down the design into milestones and work items, tracking status of progress, managing communication and dependencies both to the technical team, and to the business customer as needed.

• This individual will also coordinate test validation and rollout for functional components, ensuring customers are informed & trained with sufficient help & training materials.

• Our preferences are for familiarity and experience with AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction modules, DOT preconstruction, letting processes, considerable experience performing complex analysis, agile development conventions such as SCRUM, and general familiarity with Agile development life cycle in a state level Department of Transportation(DOT).

• This individual will work directly for the NCDIT-Transportation Letting and Compliance Systems (LCS) manager.

Skills & Requirements

• 3 years experience with AASHTOWare Project (AWP) software, especially Preconstruction, Civil Rights and Labor Data and Analytics modules
• 3 years experience with writing technical documentation
• 3 years exp using SQL for querying databases
• 3 years using XML
• 3 years using Azure DevOps are part of an Agile team
• 3 years exp with large systems that require integration with other enterprise systems (legacy systems, SharePoint, SAP, etc)
