Project Manager/APM required for a 400-unit multifamily project in San Jose, California
Your new company
Our client is a leading National Developer Builder with a great reputation for building high-quality, high-end residential projects. They have recently closed a deal to build a 400-unit, 6-story multifamily wrap project, and they are in the market for a mid-level Project Manager/APM to join the construction project team in San Jose, California. This project will be breaking ground in the next month, making this a career-enhancing opportunity to join a premier developer builder on this 3-phase project in San Jose.Your new role
As a Project Manager/APM for this new construction, your role will be to support the Senior Project Manager to manage the buyout and budget process and to support documentation tasks throughout the project, including processing or reviewing RFIs, submittals and change orders. Your initial key task will be managing the buyout process for your assigned scopes of work, and you will support the Senior Project Manager and Lead Superintendent throughout the project to achieve the budget and schedule milestones.
What you'll need to succeed
This position requires at least 4 - 8 years of solid construction experience with the last 5 focused on Multifamily or Ground-up commercial projects. To be successful in this role, you must have strong technical knowledge of the construction process, be proficient in document processes to include RFIs, submittals & change orders as well as buyout and some budgeting experience would be ideal. You must be tech-savvy with experience of using software tools like Procore, Bluebeam & Plangrid.
