Senior Engineer, Project Development

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Engineer who can lead the development of energy audits and performance contracts. Your new role
  • Support the engineering team in assessing the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities
  • Participate in client meetings and perform site visits to gather facility and utility data
  • Provide training and mentorship on mechanical system design, preparation of construction documents, and use of various software programs
  • Inspect contractors' work during the construction phase to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications
  • Conduct field work to document existing conditions during the design phase


What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required, PE registration is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with energy conservation and associated building system retrofits is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC, EMS and/or central plant design is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with performance contracting is preferred
  • Building energy use modeling and simulation experience is desirable (e.g. eQUEST, HAP, DOE2, Trane Trace, ASHRAE Modified Bin Analysis)
  • Knowledge of local and national building codes and standards including: Building Codes, NFPA Codes, USGBC LEED standards and ASHRAE 90.1
  • AutoCAD and/or REVIT experience preferred
