Your New Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and providing engineering solutions for various projects. You will leverage your extensive experience to establish system applications, design, and operational parameters in collaboration with senior technical staff. You will also oversee QA/QC processes, manage project schedules and budgets, and participate in construction administration and field investigation tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish system application, design, and operational parameters/sequences in collaboration with senior technical staff.
  • Participate in/ensure/oversee the QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to determine project scheduling requirements, staffing requirements, and project budgets.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks, including conducting field inspections and preparing detailed inspection reports.
  • Process RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
  • Manage CAD/BIM and other technical staff assigned to projects as directed by senior engineers and/or senior designers.
  • Assist with employee reviews as requested.
  • Write engineering proposals under the direction of senior engineers or senior designers for projects.
  • Participate in various trade organizations and prepare presentations.
  • Estimate construction costs and evaluate the feasibility of construction using ROM
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience working in a consulting firm.
  • PE licensed Engineer.
  • Experience with REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP.
  • Sufficient knowledge to prepare red-line markups for CAD personnel.
  • Ability to read, review, and evaluate floor plans, sections, and elevations, and visualize three-dimensional space in building construction.
  • Expertise in trade-specific design and calculation software.
  • Ability to make proper system selections and understand the work of other trades.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable codes.
  • Knowledge of SKM Software and ability to perform Short Circuit coordination and Arc Flash Studies is highly preferred.
