Regional Safety Manager - Fort Myers, FL

The Regional Safety Manager is the lead for safety initiatives across multiple disciplines, supervising a team of safety professionals in the field and working closely with the Safety Director. This role involves significant travel, approximately 75%, to ensure the implementation and adherence to safety protocols across various projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive safety support for management at multiple levels and field operations.
  • Conduct routine field safety assessments to promote a People First Culture and ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Offer strategic guidance on planning, development, administration, and management of the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Program.
  • Lead or assist in incident investigations in collaboration with the Safety Director, focusing on significant events to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with clients through effective communication and interaction, aligning safety practices with client expectations.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety meetings with senior leadership and safety team members, promoting the continuous improvement of safety measures.
  • Support the professional development of safety team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Manage the allocation of safety personnel to projects, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support.

Education and Certifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Safety Management or a similar related field is required.
  • Certification as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals is required.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of construction safety experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have demonstrated leadership skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively up and down the organizational structure.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Bluebeam, and similar software.
