Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Manager in Richmond, VA/Hybrid.

Role Description
As a contract resource on the Supply Management team, you’ll play a crucial role in performing project manager responsibilities in support of our HR initiatives.

• Manage key HR projects using widely accepted project methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile/LEAN, SDLC)
• Apply project management tools and methods to manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, communication, resources and suppliers
• Work closely with HR leadership, Supply Chain Management, and other internal and external parties to integrate plans and coordinate execution for large cross-functional projects requiring multiple work-streams and sub-plans
• Conduct cost-benefit Analysis for projects, validate cost and benefit assumptions with stakeholders, resource managers and process owners
• Conduct written and oral project updates for senior management and business leaders

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
• Minimum of 5 years project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships and lead customer focused projects across organizational boundaries
• Excellent planning, organizational and execution skills
• Strong communication -- oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Demonstrated experience interacting & collaborating with business areas in gathering, documenting and developing business scope for projects
• Results oriented, ability to meet and exceed objectives and handle multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong analytical and business problem solving skills
• Prior experience with large IT related projects and business transformations
• PMI (Project Management Institute) CAPM or PMP certification
• Experience using MS Project and Visio (or related platforms) at intermediate to advance level
• Prior experience with Benefit transformation projects
• Experience managing projects to convert a benefits service provider from an existing to Fidelity. Fidelity is taking over all of Genworth’s retirement benefits *they are moving off Alight. Keyword “benefit Servicing”
