We are currently seeking a seasoned Wastewater Treatment Plant Estimator to join a Houston office on a full-time basis. We are looking for a professional who is career-focused, maintains high-quality standards, and is committed to the ongoing expansion of our Texas operations. This role involves developing construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design/Build delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure. Our projects include the renovation and new construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, storage reservoirs/retention basins, water transmission facilities, and wastewater conveyance systems. This position offers opportunities for bonuses and growth based on performance and quality of work.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage detailed and competitive project proposals and bids, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project goals and constraints.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Provide support during pre-construction and post-construction phases as needed.
  • Communicate and work closely with clients to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Create budgets and turnover packages, and perform all pre-construction activities.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with HCSS (HeavyBid), Procore, BlueBeam, and Agtec.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Civil Construction.
  • Background in heavy site work, utilities, pipelines, infrastructure, and heavy construction is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • A construction-related college degree is a plus but not required.
  • Limited travel required, mostly for meetings and pre-bid activities, with very little overnight travel.
