Construction Assistant Project Manager
Hays is working with one of the longest-standing and most respected General Contractors in the New York City Area. They are offering a salary range of 80k - 95k a year plus medical/dental/vision, 401k, yearly bonus, and travel costs covered. The company works on multifamily homes and commercial projects. I have placed the responsibilities and qualifications below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Participate in project meetings and provide support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in construction project management on commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, HCSS, and Microsoft Suite.
