GC offering a hybrid work environment for a Project Manager to work on commercial construction projects in VA.
Your new company:
General Contractor based in Northern Virginia are hiring a Project Manager to work on commercial interior projects in the NoVA and DC area. This general contractor operate a hybrid work environment, a regular week could be 3-4 days remote, 1-2 days in-person at the office or job site. This a permanent, full-time position with the hiring manager looking for a Project Manager that can take full responsibility in the delivery of a project.
Your new role:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans that encompass timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for interior fit-out and renovation projects.
The projects will range from $200K - $3M and cover market sectors including Office, Retail, Restaurant and Medical. This general contractor are also interested to pursue public projects including education and government owned and leased buildings.
You will lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project's lifecycle. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, you will provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction is maintained at all times.
You will monitor and manage project budgets, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. In addition, you will identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently to the required quality.
What you need to succeed:
- 8-20 years of Construction Project Management experience working for a commercial general contractor.
- Proficient in managing projects from start to finish taking full ownership of the project.
- Experienced in managing commercial interior projects in the range of $200K - $3M.
- A construction related degree such as engineering, architecture or construction management is desired but not essential.
