Water Resources/Heavy Civil Regional Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for all projects in the region, leveraging your field experience in heavy civil construction. Direct and guide project managers and teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, estimators, and support staff. Foster a culture of excellence and collaboration that empowers team members to achieve project goals and personal growth.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the quality of work.
Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities, and work with the Heavy Civil Team and Business Development Teams to develop and secure new contracts.
Collaboration:
Review and collaborate with estimators on bidding proposals.
Financial Performance:
Work closely with project managers and other staff members to monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are profitable and meet financial targets.
Safety Management:
Ensure that all projects are conducted safely and in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and policies.
Talent Management:
Work closely with Human Resources to provide recruiting and retention efforts for your projects.


Key Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: At least 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction/wastewater, with a proven track record of managing teams and large-scale heavy civil/wastewater construction projects.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of heavy civil construction, including excavation, grading, paving, clearing, and underground utility construction.
  4. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff members.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  6. Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and policies in heavy civil construction.
  7. Travel: Willingness to travel to oversee projects and meet with clients.
