We are seeking an experienced Maritime Construction Superintendent with a strong background in dredging operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the construction and maintenance of maritime structures, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of maritime construction projects, with a focus on dredging operations.
- Site Supervision: Manage daily operations at the construction site, including supervising workers and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and the environment.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, manage expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Educational Background: A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Extensive experience in construction management, particularly in maritime or offshore projects, with a strong emphasis on dredging operations.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to maritime environments.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Supervising construction activities and ensuring adherence to project plans.
- Conducting site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Coordinating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to resolve issues.
- Managing procurement of materials and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
