Job Title: Civil Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Civil Project Manager will oversee and manage the construction of highway and roading projects, particularly those involving TxDOT. This role requires extensive experience in concrete paving, underground utilities, and siteworks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with stakeholders, including TxDOT, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets or exceeds TxDOT standards and specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
- Financial Management: Monitor project costs and manage budgets. Prepare financial reports and forecasts.
- Team Leadership: Lead project teams, including engineers, construction workers, and administrative staff. Provide training and mentorship.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders. Prepare and present project updates and reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil project management, with a focus on highway and roading projects. Proven experience with TxDOT projects is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of concrete paving, underground utilities, and siteworks.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. PMP certification is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Strong network within the construction and engineering community.
