SOARING DEMAND FOR LIFT & ESCALATOR STAFF

To celebrate the launch and to meet an increased demand for professionals in the North West, Hays Lift & Escalators will be hosting an open day in September at its office on Portland Street in Manchester.

The sector is currently suffering from a shortage of skilled and qualified candidates, which means that workers who possess experience are in high demand and can command excellent salaries and benefits. Workers who have completed apprenticeship training and NVQ 4 qualified engineers are particularly sought after. Many opportunities exist for these individuals, particularly within the larger organisations. Typical benefits that workers can expect included: further training (sometimes funded by the employer), the chance to broaden skills sets by working in different departments and the opportunity to progress into management, project management, testing or technician based roles.
