HEALTH & SAFETY WORKERS ARE IN DEMAND IN SOUTHAMPTON

The health & safety industry in the South East is suffering from a shortage of experienced professionals, says local recruitment consultancy Hays Health & Safety. In order to provide a better local service and meet an increased demand for health & safety workers in the area, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment consultancy recently held an open day at its office on Brunswick Place in Southampton.

Despite the current doom and gloom, there are a number of projects currently underway in the area, including the new IKEA under construction in the town centre and building work taking place at the docks, which should generate jobs for health & safety workers in the construction industry. There are also further opportunities across a wide range of other sectors, including accountancy & finance, facilities management and property & surveying. Health & safety advisors, CDM coordinators, quality assurance managers and environmental managers and are all particularly sought after.
